I feel that Rebbe Yosef Yitzaac Schneerson should always be refered to as the sixth Rebbe rather than “Friedicker”.
I have the sensation that calling him the “previous” reduces his status.
The (seventh) Rebbe M.M. Schneerson (OBM) always saw himself as the continuation of his illustrious father-in-law.
Well, there's a reason for "previous". Some people call him the Friediker Rebbe. Some call him the Rebbe Rayatz.
I refer to the 7th Rebbe as Rebbe “Ramash”.
I refer to the 6th Rebbe as Rebbe “Rayatz.
The greatness of the 7th was the continuation and fulfillment of the 6th.
Nice bit I am saddened by all the Yidden America refused to allow to be rescued.
BaRuch HaShem Rebbe arrived here to reawaken American Judaism. Shalom
Very inspirational!
The song Yes! What is the song, what are the words, where can you find it?
chabad.org has the song Mi Armia Admura
The Boat was called SS Drottingholm, the journey took 13 days with several stops on the way by warships patrolling the sea and problems with the ship.
See more information in living torah: Disc 124, Program 496
The boat was the SS Drottningholm, and he spent 12 days on it. The Frierdiker Rebbe's famous quote when he arrived was "America is no different."
What boat was the Friediker Rebbe on and what was his slogan when he arrived. How long was he on the boat for.
Thank you! I love the song.

The Rebbe's Arrival to America
I was curious to see this video today, March 15, 2011. Amazingly, the Rebbe arrived on my english birthday-Feb. 18, 1940 but I would be born 20 years later in Rehovot, Israel.
I know this Rebbe was full of wisdom and people I've met that knew him, always speak highly of him. I am thankful that I met, and spoke with the next Lubavitcher Rebbe around my Hebrew birthday back in 1973. This was called the "yechidus" with the Rebbe upon a child's Bar-Mitzvah. However, this is another wonderful story discussed on other Lubavitcher sites....
I will ALWAYS love Lubavitch!
They gave me my education on a scholarship, provided me with yearly matzoahs, allowed me to shine, and assisted me financially when I recently ill,
Lubavitch may have its issues currently since no one is leading the helm but there are more Chabad houses now than ever before. Also, they continue their outreach to bring our people closer to Hashem than those who would rather chase us away.
Magical Wishes,
Benjilini/Elisha
