Wholesome Cookies

I got this delicious recipe from Rebbetzin Brocha Sapochkinsky, of Chabad of Westlake.


 
Ingredients:

-1 cup of whole wheat or spelt flour
-1 cup of oatmeal, grounded up
-1 cup of raw almonds, grounded up
 
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
-1/2 cup oil
-1/2 cup pure maple syrup
-1/8 cup dried blueberries and cranberries (add for a more chewy texture)
-strawberry jam (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.
Combine all ingredients thoroughly. 
Roll the dough into little balls, and place on greased cookie sheet.  (You can place the cookies close together, they do not grow very much).
Make an indentation in the middle of each cookie, flattening it slightly.
Put jam in the middle of each cookie.
Bake for 20 minutes.
