I can't believe how much richness I would miss out on every single week without these episodes to enhance and focus and bring clarity and new perspectives. I am a songwriter with as many barriers and restrictions of body and mind in that art than I have gifts. I have always loved practicing the art, but also hated always having to navigate the countless areas of lack and weakness. For the first time in my life, I see that ache and despair in a beautiful light -- what songs that I love of my own, that are unique and special, would exist if I was able to sing and perform and play at a higher level? Those would be lost to me. I still struggle, but I'm also thankful in a new way I never saw possible. Thank you. Reply

Yes, that was meaningful in a big way. I’ve been listening to Rabbi Gordon walk us through the parshas this week and I’ve been thinking about the overarching message is. I thought it might have something to do with putting our “skin in the game” to really embrace what Hashem has made possible and makes possible for us. Your interpretation resonates with me because I now understand the benefits of discipline so much better than I did in my youth, particularly in enabling relationships to thrive. Thank you. Reply
