Shula’s Glorious Gefilte Fish
Shula’s Glorious Gefilte Fish
This is without a doubt the easiest-to-prepare, crowd-pleasing recipe ever! Your guests will rave about the delicious flavor and will never guess how quickly you prepared it! Win-Win!!
Cranberry Kugel
Cranberry Kugel
Rebbetzin Shula served this dessert today at our "Caffeine for the Soul" class and we loved it! It is amazingly fast and simple to prepare & can be served as a kugel or a dessert. If served hot, add a scoop of ice cream and the dessert is really great!
Harvest Bread-Muffins
Harvest Bread-Muffins
This delightful comfort food can be baked in loaf pans, or -my favorite- in muffin tins. It is wonderful as a side dish, or toasted for breakfast, with a cup of coffee.
Floral Greek Salad
Floral Greek Salad
Cauli-flower was rightfully named--especially nowadays, when you can get it in the most beautiful deep purple, bright green, and orange colors! When you cut them up into small, bite-size pieces, they truly do look like flowers. The feta adds a salty, creamy flavor, the olives keep it juicy, and the cauliflowers give color, of course, and crunch!
Fragrant Swiss Chard
Fragrant Swiss Chard
My friend Marina introduced me to this delicious leafy green vegetable. Its mahogany and dark green colors, complete with pink stems, make for a gorgeous display.
Honey Roasted Red Potatoes
Honey Roasted Red Potatoes
This recipe is from my dear friend and very successful cookbook author Debbie Puente.
Wild Rice "Tabouli" Salad
Wild Rice "Tabouli" Salad
The tangy, fresh taste of lemon juice, parsley and garlic completes this tasty salad! Great served with whole wheat pita wedges and hummus.
Vegetarian Tzimmis
Vegetarian Tzimmis
This traditional Jewish dish is cooked slowly over low heat and flavored with honey and sometimes cinnamon. The variations are endless. The non-meat version tends to be sweeter, along the lines of candied yams.

Tzimmes is often part of the Rosh Hashanah meal, when it is traditional to eat sweet and honey-flavored dishes.
Baked Zucchini Blossoms
Baked Zucchini Blossoms
Being that I frequent the Farmers' Market in the summers, I've been experimenting with their exquisite-and fresh!-fruits and vegetables, and I think this recipe is a winner!
Baked Zucchini & Yellow Squash
Baked Zucchini & Yellow Squash
This is an old family favorite. The contrast in colors and speckled spices make for a appetizing, gourmet display. They work as a fat-free, healthy side dish, and also great as a snack!
